We have an exciting and ambitious Equilocity plan this year, and we need a few more sets of hands to help us pull it off with the quality, class, and elevation expected of any Stone Horses experience. We are seeking volunteers to help us with our Stone Store & Art of the Horse Dinner.
Volunteer Roles Needed: Stone Horses Shopper Concierges, Horse Wrappers
Time Requirements:We need folks who are able to help on both Thursday and Friday evenings from 5pm-11pm. This is a large time commitment, so please consider carefully before applying.
Responsibilities: Welcome Stone Horses customers and potential shoppers, direct folks where to go, explain the shopping and wristband process, escort shopping groups to The Mansion, show folks accessibility paths, gently but firmly help folks make their way to check-out when their shopping window is closing, potentially help wrap purchases, and generally help us create a smooth and positive shopping experience.
Skills: Strong and clear verbal communication abilities are a necessity, the ability to stay friendly and positive in a potentially higher stress situation, conflict de-escalation, ability to walk briskly between event locations, standing for up to 6 hours continually
Volunteer Compensation: We are happy to provide all volunteers with a high-quality volunteer package consisting of:
🐎Two Stone Horses t-shirts, one for each day of volunteering
🐎Consistent access to quality snacks, cold water, soda
🐎Clear communication of your responsibilities for each day
🐎The cell phone number of a Stone Horses employee who is your consistent point of contact
🐎Early shopping access on Thursday before the store opens, each volunteer may purchase one OOAK or Run model if they wish (not including AOTH models that are not released until Friday’s dinner, those are offered to dinner attendees first)
🐎One free copy of “Kokua”, our 2025 Volunteer Model, a gorgeous blue-green striped decorator on our Volo mold. Kokua will be handed out at the conclusion of the Friday volunteer shift.
If this sounds like something you’d enjoy helping us with, please fill out the form located at this link. Volunteer applications are open now, and will close on Friday, June 20th at 5pm Eastern Time. All applicants will be notified the following week via email if they were selected or not. If you purchase a ticket to our Art of the Horse dinner and then are selected to volunteer, we will refund your dinner purchase, of course. Selection criteria includes personal referrals from Stone Horses staff, prior experience volunteering at model horse events, demonstratable friendly conduct in the model horse community, and overall reliability.
