We are excited to launch a new communication tool for us in 2026 - the Stone Horses Blog! This will be a place for us to primarily celebrate the history of Stone Horses and The Peter Stone Company, though we'll expand to other informational and announcement topics here and there too.
Read on for our very first post about our January 2026 Tribute Honoree - Shynoah!
Greetings, Stone fans! Welcome to a Tribute Series Blog! Each month, take a trip down memory lane with us and revisit some beloved Stone Horses of eras past. My name is Amanda Reed, and I’ll be your guide for this adventure! Whether you were there when they released, or you have joined the Stone world more recently, all are happily welcomed here.
Shynoah is a light palomino blanket Appaloosa on the Ideal Stock Horse (ISH) mold. He was part of the regular production line in 2000 and features the short mane/long tail combination. His finer details include brown Appaloosa spots in addition to the white blanket, striped hooves, white spots to represent Appaloosa mottling on his muzzle, and a “Circle A” brand on his left shoulder.
Like many other early Stones, Shynoah is a portrait of a real horse! His owner, Angel Sheridan, was an employee of Stone at the time. Julie, the most veteran member of the Stone team, did not have much overlap with Angel's tenure, but she describes her as being a good artist and a horse lover. She also recalls going for rides with Angel on a few occasions due to their proximity of housing.
Pulling back the curtain – each month I will be including a quote from the Stone Team explaining why they chose that particular model to feature!
From Erin:
“I chose Shynoah because palomino has always been a color that's hard to do well original finish, he was really innovative and beautiful when he first came out, and our palominos are even more dimensional now so I knew we could do him justice!”
Please check out the Tribute Series for Shynoah, available under New Releases if you are reading this before he sells out! The 2026 Stone History page will include Tribute Shynoah’s details for your reference, blog readers of the future.
Each Tribute Blog will publish simultaneously with the release of its accompanying model collection (3rd Fridays). But that’s not all we have in store for this year! On each 4th Friday, tune in to the Blog for our History of Stone series, where I will cover broader topics in celebration of the 30th Anniversary. There’s a lot to reminisce on together and I cannot wait to dive in!
