About Us

More than 75 years ago, Sam Stone created his first model horse and started a legacy that would shape the industry. In 1996, his son Peter carried that vision forward, founding The Peter Stone Company with a dedication to premier quality and American-made craftsmanship.
Over the years, what began as a family passion grew into a vibrant community united by a deep appreciation for exceptional equine art. As the company grew alongside the model horse collecting hobby, Stone Horses earned a reputation for quality, artistry, and connection to the people who make this hobby extraordinary.

In 2024, Peter and Elaine Stone retired, entrusting that legacy to long-time collector and model horse enthusiast Erin Corbett. Coming from the collector community, Erin brings the same passion, appreciation, and commitment to collectors that have always been at the heart of Stone Horses.

Today, Stone Horses continues to push the boundaries of what's possible in Original Finish Artwork while remaining rooted in the values that built the brand: exceptional craftsmanship, artistic integrity, and meaningful connections between artists and collectors. Every piece is still handmade with care and intention by a small team of artisans in Shipshewana, Indiana.

Our products are 100% American made from the initial mold to the final paint job. Every aspect of our horses is manufactured within the United States – within 3-4 hours of our location in Northern Indiana!
Designed by collectors for collectors, we strive to craft models that will delight everyone.
Stone Horses is the premier creative home where collectors and artists shape the future of equine art together—building connection, elevating the craft, and celebrating what makes this community extraordinary.
