Legends tell that on the night of Halloween, a ghostly carnival comes to town, appeared as if by magic. You can hear the melancholic chime of the carousel as it turns round and round – the carved horses that adorn it prancing endlessly into the night. If you find this place, and sit upon the carousel, you may spy a ghost. But do not let the ghosts here frighten you, for they are the ghosts of Halloweens’ past memories; the happy laughter of children, the taste of sweet caramel apples, the jubilant grins of carved pumpkins. This piece is really something new and special. Carissa worked with our Trotting Drafter sculpture to give him a whimsical makeover to a carousel horse! In addition to his turned head and pinned ears, he has a sculpted on saddle, bridle, breastcollar, and a new customized flowing mane and tail with big dimensional bows and bobs, all in traditional Halloween styling. Jess then innovated again in his paint design, doing a superbly detailed woodgrain base with loads of hand painted detailing in his tack and ribbons. Plus, we can’t get enough of UV reactive fluorescents, and this guy has several hidden features that only show up in blacklight! Trick or Treat indeed. He is offered in matte/satin and no finish changes are possible on this piece.
