What a makeover that Mindy Berg and Mel Miller did to the Chip Andalusian sculpture! Mel took the sculpture and straightened his head and neck and twitched back his ear as if he is listening to his rider or a bird just blazed by. Mindy painted him a deep and contrasting gray, with so much dappling and shading. The softness of the facial shading really brings out the features of the sculpture and softens his face. You could almost imagine petting his nose if he were full-size and real. His mane and tail lighten from black to white, showing this is a maturing stallion. His eyes are perfect and so detailed.
