Welcome to the world of Edgar Allan Poe, as retold by Ellen Robbins. This month we’re representing “The Fall of the House of Usher.” In this famous work, Poe showed how the grotesque and melancholy shrouded in mystery can sprout beauty and nightmares. To depict the tale, Ellen Robbins chose to use our versatile Ideal Stock Horse and Chip Stock Horse, all in realistic colors! How does one translate decay and marsh into art? Ellen created gorgeous brindle coats for our Ideal Stock Horse and Chip Stock Horse sculptures.  

Roderick is named after Roderick Usher, twin of Madeline Usher, and one of the last members of the Usher family.  He is also the mirror to Mystic Vapour. Our Chip Stock Horse sculpture received a straightened head and neck, which changes his character in such a fun way! He is a beautiful gray brindle with a low sock paired with a blaze and pink snip.
