Join us for a fun walk down memory lane with the continuing Stone Tribute Series! 2026 celebrates 30 years of Stone Horses and The Peter Stone Company, and boy, do we have some fun surprises for you to reminisce over.

Stone has produced some iconic pieces over the decades, and we are having so much fun honoring a selection of those early pieces by revisiting them in new ways. We’re not exactly reproducing these gorgeous pieces, but rather drawing inspiration from them to create new pieces from our sculpture lineup and current production processes. Think of them as cover songs—in homage to the original.

This month we’re putting the spotlight on Ratchett, an Ideal Stock Horse from 1999 that ushered in the development of new paint techniques. He sports a chestnut pinto coat and was released in multiple variations as our artists dreamed up new ways of rendering his crisp overo markings.

Hammer is a lovely twist on the original Ratchett, brought to life on our Andalusian sculpture. Matt Samuels began by customizing him with a turned and tucked head, plus a bushy mane and forelock and a straight banged tail. Following the same unique overo white patterns, Madi Wiseman painted a dimensional red roan to honor the original chestnut color. He is available both with and without a Stone Horses monogram brand on his hip.
