In Kylee's words, here is - Bendecida!
"Here is Bendecida, my final EFCM for Stone Horses in 2024. Bendecida, meaning blessed in Spanish, is a heavily in foal Azteca (Andalusian x Paint) mare. She was by far the most customized of all the pieces from my recent trip to Stone Horses. Bendecida was created using the Andalusian Body and the Remington head and neck - She is Domingo’s counterpart! Seamlessly pairing the Remi Head with the Andy Body was no easy feat… especially since I wanted a deep reach in the neck as she turns to feel her foal kicking in her belly. Here is a look at all that went into bringing Bendecida to life!
Extreme head turn with fully re-worked neck and re-detailed face with an accurate relaxed “licking and chewing” tongue. Many added facial wrinkles and even added eyelashes!
The body work is extensive as I lengthened the entire back and material added to create the very pregnant belly with accurate mare udders. She’s a weighty girl!
Her limbs were thoughtfully moved to create relaxing weight shifts and a resting right hind.
Fun swishing tail and windblown mane and forelock give her a harmonious composition and movement to compliment her peaceful stance.
This was all done using the manufacturer plastic - no apoxie, magic sculpt, glues or wires
She was finally finished to a dark sooty buckskin with overo markings and two blue eyes. Several handpainted details in the face, body and markings were added to make her an absolute one-of-kind and match the extreme amount of work that went into her customization.
This special girl deserved the full treatment and not a detail was overlooked! I’m so pleased to have Bendecida be the final piece for my 2024 EFCM collection for Stone. Going out with a “POP” as this lady is truly about to pop! Maybe we will get to see what her baby looks like in 2025!"
