2026 marks the 30th anniversary of Stone Horses, the founding of the Peter Stone Company! In our 2026 Tribute Series, we take a walk down memory lane to re-visit and honor some of the company’s most memorable pieces in new ways. In a realistic and a decorator color each month produced as pre-orders based on your selections, this series will be a meaningful exploration of the road we took to reach this incredible 30 year anniversary. Amanda Reed lends her writing talents to this line, creating a partner post with each month’s model! She will be interviewing some key figures from Stone Horses past, and we can’t wait to reminisce.
January: Shynoah
Join us for a fun walk down memory lane with the continuing Stone Tribute Series! 2026 celebrates 30 years of Stone Horses and The Peter Stone Company, and boy, do we have some fun surprises for you to reminisce over.
Stone has produced some iconic pieces over the decades, and we are having so much fun honoring a selection of those early pieces by revisiting them in new ways. We’re not exactly reproducing these gorgeous pieces, but rather drawing inspiration from them to create new pieces from our sculpture lineup and current production processes. Think of them as cover songs – in homage to the original.
Kicking off 2026 is a tribute to Shynoah! Shynoah is a light palomino blanket Appaloosa on the Ideal Stock Horse (ISH) mold. He was part of the regular production line in 2000 and features the short mane/long tail combination.
Presenting Shy by Day and Sky By Night, two Shynoah inspired designs by Ellen Robbins! Both designs are depicted on our Remington sculpture, customized with the long Ideal Stock Horse flowing tail, and our short standing-up mane and forelock for extra Appaloosa realism.
Shy By Day is a stunningly detailed shaded palomino blanket appaloosa, with lovely subtle mottling around his eyes, muzzle, flanks, and other typically thin-skinned areas. He has extremely detailed striped hooves, and little flecks of appy dimension through his coat. As a nod to the 2026 version, we have replaced the Circle A brand on the original with our new SH brand which is optional. All finish options are available.
Sky By Night features the same pattern and general design elements, but in a stunning night sky decorator design! He also has soft mottling and pinking, plus shaded hoof stripes and more. He is pictured in what will be matte finish for this run, and all finish options are available. As a nod to the 2026 version, we have replaced the Circle A brand on the original with our new SH brand which is optional.
