Image LE-15 FCM Volo by Ellen Robbins YP26

Welcome to the world of Edgar Allan Poe, as retold by Ellen Robbins. This month we’re representing his poem Morella, a gothic short story that explores what happens after death. The story centers around Morella, a mystical and spooky woman who falls ill and passes away after giving birth to an equally spooky daughter... who might be Morella herself reincarnated? Just in time for Mother’s Day, we’re bringing you this mysterious mother-daughter duo in the form of mares and foals!

Image begins with our Volo sculpture, customized by Matt Samuels, sporting a neatly button braided mane and matching fully braided tail. Inspired by references to stone in the short story, Ellen painted her to resemble white marble! Each piece is handpainted in black and gold with slight variations in each marble pattern to mimic the natural variation in cut stone. She is finished in satin matte, and finish options are available on this piece.

Our May Year with Poe large scale models are short pre-orders that are currently in production and expected to ship very shortly per your selections.
