Welcome to the world of Edgar Allan Poe, as retold by Ellen Robbins. This month we’re representing his poem Morella, a gothic short story that explores what happens after death. The story centers around Morella, a mystical and spooky woman who falls ill and passes away after giving birth to an equally spooky daughter... who might be Morella herself reincarnated? Just in time for Mother’s Day, we’re bringing you this mysterious mother-daughter duo in the form of mares and foals!
Morella represents the mystical subject of our story. Matt Samuels gave our Volo sculpture a dynamic loose mane, swishing tail, and attentively twitched ear. Ellen painted her to a striking pale rose gray with dreamy dappling throughout. She is finished in matte, and finish options are available on this piece.
Our May Year with Poe large scale models are short pre-orders that are currently in production and expected to ship very shortly per your selections.
