"Esta obra, realizada en estilo costumbrista, retrata uno de los paisajes más representativos de Colombia: el Eje Cafetero, con sus montañas verdes cubiertas de cafetales. En este entorno viven los recolectores de café, quienes con esfuerzo y tradición realizan el secado del grano, mientras caballos y mulas transportan las cargas hasta las moliendas donde el café se muele y se tuesta con esmero.
El paisaje está lleno de color y vida: casas pintorescas adornan las montañas y aves tropicales sobrevuelan el cielo. Si pudieras estar allí, sentirías el delicioso aroma del café recién molido que se mezcla con la brisa fresca de la montaña. El clima templado y la calidez de su gente hacen de este lugar un verdadero paraíso para quienes aman el buen café."

He created this piece here with his lovely and talented mother Cecelia, who did much of the handpainted detailing while she was here for a visit from Colombia. This piece, created in the Spanish style of Costumbrismo, portrays one of the most representative landscapes of Colombia: the coffee-growing region, where coffee plantations spread across verdant mountains. In this environment live the coffee farmers, who through tradition and dedication carry out the drying of the beans, while horses and mules transport loads to the mills where the coffee is meticulously ground and roasted.
The landscape is full of color and life: picturesque homes adorn the mountains, and tropical birds fly through the sky overhead. If you visit this region, you will sense the delicious aroma of freshly ground coffee mixing with the cool mountain breeze. The temperate climate and the warm, friendly people make this place a true paradise for those who love good coffee.
