This mare is ready for a day off with her rider! Meet Day Off In Kyoto, a factory custom, by Kristen Cermele. Starting with our Palouse sculpture, Kristen lowered and tucked Day Off In Kyoto’s head and neck, making her seem like she’s out for a nice jaunt with her rider. From there Kristen twitched her ear so she looks like she’s listening to her surroundings. Kristen added a custom forelock and pulled mane with copious amounts of detailing and haring in them. A custom tail was also added. Kristen then painted her to a dark dapple gray with soft shading throughout her body, mane, and tail. She has a hind sock and a heel marking. Kristen gave her a big blaze that ends in a snip. Kristen etched each and marking which increases the realism of the piece.
