“Thabira” is our very first piece ever to offer by Tegan Davis. Tegan’s affinity for primitive striping and dramatic pangare shading – especially inspired by the Quagga - is well known, and she offers both in this gorgeous piece. “Thabira” is a quagga inspired Zulu name that means ‘to bring joy’, and we couldn’t agree more. Tegan gave this bunny the most incredible soft shading transitions from light to toasty chestnut brown, with pearl white striping that carries through her mane, and shading in her tail. As Tegan’s first large scale model with stripes, she does have some masking wobbles and if you run your fingers over her stripes you can feel the edges and some texture changes. We include these notes so you can bid knowing what to expect, please look over the photos carefully prior to placing a bid, as she is offered as she is! We think these notes take away nothing from her overall beauty. Finish changes are not offered on this piece.
