You’ve seen our photos of the real Bonnie, so we’re so excited to announce her Stone Horses counterpart. But first, meet the real Bonnie. The real Bonnie is over 18 hands and is the sweetest mare! She loves pets and people, which makes her profession perfect. She pulls various types of carts for tourists and locals around Shipshewana. She is a gorgeously dappled gray mare that knows she’s pretty. She has the softest muzzle and a shining personality. She knows she does fantastic work at her job. You can have your own Stone version of Bonnie and take home a piece of Shipshewana with you.  

Bonnie is a collaborative piece by Ellen Robbins and Matt Samuels. Matt took our Standing Drafter and customized it to be a portrait of Bonnie. He changed the Standing Drafter’s head and neck to be lowered and turned. She features a custom loose long mane and tail. Her hooves were also customized to reflect toe clip draft horse hooves. Ellen painted Bonnie as a portrait of the real Bonnie. She has detailed dappling across her body along with shading on her face. If you’ve ever met the real-life Bonnie, you will be pleased with her miniature version. Bonnie has such a soft intelligent glow to her eyes and her model has that same feeling to it! She is finished in matte and all finish options are available.
