The Stone Horses 2024 Calendar Contest begins on September 4, 2023 12 am Eastern Time, and all enteries must be submitted by 11:59 pm Eastern time, September 18, 2023. All entrenants are responsible for determining the appropriate start and end times for their respective time zones. No late entries will be accepted.
The Stone Horses Calendar Contest is paperless. The contest photos will be hosted on the company Facebook social media page. There will be four categories Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. To enter, read through the contest information, Fill out the online entry form through the button below or through the link on social media. Then upload your images to the Facebook album(s) best suited for your photo - selection is up to the contestant. Photos may be entered into more than one Facebook album, but only one photo per participant can place for the Grand Prize or Monthly placements. Participants may select to email photos for entry to submissions@stonehorses.com if they are not on social media to upload them to the albums.
Entry FormWhether you are a self taught snapper, leisure time lensperson, or regular good ole plasitc pony papparazii this contest is for you. Open to everyone in the Stone Horses community, we encourage everyone to enter! Youths ages 6 to 17 years old will require parents permission. Each photographer may enter up to six (6) photographs, but only one (1) photograph per photographer may win the Grand Prize and 12 Monthly Places. Photographers may only submit their own photographs. There is no fee to enter the contest. The Peter Stone Company is staffed with collectors and hobbiest, this contest is open to the staff of The Peter Stone Company as it is a community based voting process! Everyone is welcomed to celebrate the beauty that Stone Horses contributes to the hobby!
Photos must include at least one Stone Horses Model. It can be produced from any year and any scale model. Quality of the model should not be a concern as all Stone models are treasures. Photos and models photographed must belong to the person entering the contest. The photograph must be produced by the enterant. Digital backgrounds and photo enhancements are allowed, but AI assisted photography enhancements are not permitted. Please note that photographs need not be taken with a digital camera: scans of negatives or transparencies are acceptable.
Image File Requirements
This years winners will be determined by popular vote from our community. Facebook voting will take place from time of entry in the album to Sept. 25th 3pm EST.
There are lots of chances to win! Thirteen photos will be selected for the cover and the 12 months of the year. We will also include up to 36 honorable mention photos in the calendar.
Grand Prize: Photo Cover Placement: Winner will recieve the One-of-a-Kind 2023 Calendar Chip (Value $139.99+)
Prizes for Monthly Winners (12): $35 Stone Horse Gift Cards
Honorable Mention Winners: $15 Stone Horse Gift Cards.
Winners will be emailed and will be announced on our company Facebook page.
Photo release terms
All photographers must agree to a Permanent Photo License before their entry can be submitted. This is completed in the entry form.
All images must be released for reproduction in the calendar and possible future publications.
Photographers maintain personal rights to their photograph; The Peter Stone Company is not licensed to release the image to a third party for their use. A model release form is not required.
PERMANENT PHOTO LICENSE
The permanent, non-exclusive license shall be shown as executed on the date the photo was submitted.
WHEREAS, the “Photographer” named on the Entry Form has submitted up to six “Photographs” described on the form to The Peter Stone Company for possible use in The Peter Stone Company annual calendar and for such other and further uses as The Peter Stone Company, in its sole discretion, deems appropriate or desirable, whether or not such Photographs are selected by The Peter Stone Company for use in its calendar.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing, The Peter Stone Company and Photographer agree as follows:
The Photographer hereby grants The Peter Stone Company a license to print, crop, enhance, enlarge, publish, circulate, use, and reproduce the Photographs in whatever way or manner it, in its sole discretion, deems fit.
The Photographer hereby expressly warrants that the Photographs were taken by Photographer and that Photographer has the authority to grant this license.
